It is frustrating when one’s appearance matters more than one’s intellegence/skills. I always return these kind of comment with sarcastic mockery of how they look and/or how they smell (I guess this would not be appropriate as you are in peace corp), or maybe if they say I am too skinny encourage them to buy me food more often. free food. whoop. 🙂

Now that you mention it, I am surprised more Indonesians haven’t been trying to feed me/give me food.
